Men and Children

A group aimed to provide opportunities for Fathers, Grand fathers, Uncles and Male carers to get together and discuss their roles and build supports around parenting. Includes single fathers support.

To provide information and encourage interaction on a range of issues relating to fatherhood. To address the way we communicate with our children and to explore ways in which we as dads can encourage physical, mental, social and emotional development in our families.

The group also works on various projects, eg building a workbench for community use; repurposing a wooden boat for a children’s playground; involvement in White Ribbon Day activities
